Contributions falling into the following categories will be considered for publication: Research Article, Short Communication, Review Article, and Editorial.
Research Article for Food Bioengineering should be written in English and normally not exceed 8000 words (excluding abstract, references and no more than 8 tables and illustrations).
Short Communication describing work that may be of a preliminary nature but which merits immediate publication. These articles will not normally exceed 3500 words (excluding abstract, references and no more than 5 tables and illustrations).
Review Article will be accepted in areas of topical interest, will normally focus on literature published over the previous five years, and should not exceed 10,000 words. (excluding abstract, references and no more than 8 tables and illustrations)
Editorial refers to the type of articles conveying an opinion, or overview of an issue, by the Editor or someone invited by the editor to Food Bioengineering.
Submission checklist

Guidelines on Publishing and Research Ethics in Journal Articles
