Contemporary Social Sciences is a bimonthly English language periodical published by Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences. Contemporary Social Sciences publishes outstanding research in the field of social sciences in China, promotes academic achievements supporting China’s going global and enhances China’s international discourse in the field of social sciences. Our primary audience are the scholars and students whose primary research interests include humanities and social sciences in contemporary China, both at home and abroad.
Contemporary Social Sciences is now indexed in DOAJ, EBSCO, CNKI, Wanfang Data, CQVIP, Chaoxing, National Social Sciences Database and is collected by more than 50 world-renowned institutions and libraries all over the world, including National Library of China, British Library, National Library of Sweden, Royal Library of the Netherlands, and libraries of Oxford University, Harvard University, Princeton University, Stanford University, Chicago University, UC Berkeley, and Toronto University.
We welcome submissions regarding China’s interactions and relationships with the nations of the world from all creditable experts in the field of humanities and social sciences, including political science, economics, literature, linguistics, journalism and communication, education, sociology, philosophy, history, law and interdisciplinary research.
Requirements for Submissions
Manuscripts must generally be prepared according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. Formatting instructions for tables, figures, references, metrics, and abstracts appear in the APA Manual. Guidance on APA Style is available on the APA Style website (http://www.apastyle.org/learn/tutorials/basics-tutorial.aspx).
Include an abstract of no more than 250 words, typed on a separate page. After the abstract, please supply up to five keywords or brief phrases. Provide personal information for each author (name, position and title, degree, postal address including postcode, phone number and e-mail address).
Papers should be approximately 8,000 words including notes and references.
If you do not receive a notice of acceptance within three months after submission, feel free to submit your paper to other journals.
Our editorial department reserves the right to make corrections or deletions to manuscripts. Any such changes will be reported to you for your approval. If you do not agree with this policy, please clearly state so in your submission.
